Fromm Family Foods has issued a voluntary recall for 300 cases of Bonnihill Farms BeefiBowls Beef Recipe gently cooked frozen dog food. The reason for the recall is possible plastic contamination in the product.

There have been no reports of injuries or illness so far, but plastic in dog food can cause stomach upset or more serious issues if a dog eats a large amount.

Possible symptoms if a dog ingests plastic:

  • Vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Lethargy
  • Stomach discomfort
