Dog Food & Treat Recall Updates

Hey there, fellow dog parents! I keep this section updated whenever new recalls are announced so you can stay in the loop and keep your pups safe. I know these alerts can sound scary, but don’t worry—most recalls are issued out of caution. The goal is just to make sure we’re all aware, check what’s in our pantry or freezer, and handle things safely.

Below you’ll find the latest recall details in plain English (no confusing corporate speak). If one of these products is in your home, follow the steps listed to protect your pets and family, and be sure to reach out to your vet if you’re ever unsure.

Raaw Energy Raw Dog Food Recall

Raaw Energy has voluntarily recalled multiple raw dog food products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recall affects products manufactured between July 17, 2025 and December 23, 2025, along with Beef and Turkey Medley produced on March 31, 2026.

Although not every product tested positive, the company says some products made during this time were never tested. Out of caution, all affected products should be considered potentially contaminated.

Why this matters

Listeria can cause serious illness in both pets and people. Dogs can become infected after eating contaminated food, and people can become sick from handling the food or touching contaminated bowls, utensils, countertops, or other surfaces.

Some infected pets may not show symptoms but can still spread the bacteria through their saliva and feces.

Possible symptoms in dogs

  • Fever
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Lethargy

If your dog ate one of the recalled products and develops symptoms, contact your veterinarian.

Possible symptoms in humans

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Fever
  • Muscle aches

Severe infections can spread to the nervous system and may cause meningitis or other life-threatening complications. Pregnant women, older adults, young children, and people with weakened immune systems are at the greatest risk.

If you handled the recalled food and develop symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.
