Dog Food Recall Alert

We care about you and your dog and we know that you will do anything you can to keep your dog safe and healthy.

That\’s why we take time everyday to check for dog food recalls, to help keep you informed!

On September 4, 2023 Mid America Pet Food voluntarily recalled one lot of Victor Super Premium Dog Food Hi-Pro Plus due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected product was only sold in 5lb bags. There have not yet been any human or pet illnesses reported.

Symptoms of Salmonella in people are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever.

Symptoms of Salmonella in pets are lethargy, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, fever, vomiting, decreased appetite and abdominal pain. Asymptomatic, infected pets can be carriers and infect other pets and people.

Please contact your veterinarian if your pet has consumed the infected product and has any symptoms of Salmonella.

If you have purchased this food, please discard immediately. Don’t forget to sanitize your pets bowls and any containers the food was stored in and wash your hands thoroughly after handling.
