Dog Food Recall Alert

We care about you and your dog and we know that you will do anything you can to keep your dog safe and healthy.

That\’s why we take time everyday to check for dog food recalls, to help keep you informed!

Three people in Massachusetts have contracted Salmonella after handling locally made dog treats Dog Gone Dog Treats. There are no reports of illness in any dogs but dogs can become ill if they get Salmonella.

The affected treats were made in Georgetown, Massachusetts and include dehydrated chicken chips, beef liver and sweet potato chips. These treats were sold at Essex County Co-op in Topsfield, New England Dog Biscuit Company in Salem, Gimme Chews & Moore in Haverhill and Animal Krackers in Gloucester.

Several unopened bags of these treats have tested positive for Salmonella. Store

Stores have been ordered to remove the product from their shelves and no new product is being produced at this time.

If you have any of these treats in your home, please discard them. If you have fed them to your dog and are concerned about your dog having Salmonella, please contact your veterinarian.

Please always wash your hands for at least 20 seconds after handling any pet food or treats.
