On December 23, 2021 Woody’s Pet Food Deli of Minneapolis, MN issued a recall of their Woody’s Pet Food Deli Raw Cornish Hen with Supplements because of potential Salmonella contamination.
Salmonella can cause illness in both pets and the humans who love them so please take care when handling your dog’s food and treats. Also, please make sure that all food and water bowls are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Healthy dogs with no symptoms can be carriers of Salmonella and the bacteria can be shed in an affected dog’s feces.
Symptom to watch out for in your dog are lethargy, diarrhea/bloody diarrhea, fever, vomiting, decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain.
