Turkey Recipe Pet Food Recall Due to HPAI Virus
The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) warns pet owners about a recall of Northwest Naturals 2lb Feline Turkey Recipe raw & frozen pet food which is also marketed as a dog food topper. Samples tested positive for H5N1 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) after a house cat in Washington County, Oregon, contracted the virus and died following consumption. Genetic testing confirmed a match between the virus in the pet food and the infected cat.
